Meetings Officer Report

Aug 1, 2016

Just back from a successful Joint Anatomical Society and British Association of Clinical Anatomists Summer meeting in Brighton. With almost 200 including 30 student delegates attending, the meeting majored on educational matters and considered The Anatomy of Learning from pedagogical and neurological perspectives. There were sessions on Near-Peer teaching and the uses of technology. We all learnt how to Tweet: #anatsocsummer16, and witnessed an engrossing talk on transgender surgery from Mr Philip Thomas. We also celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the Journal of Anatomy with talks from past and present Editors in Chief. Social activities saw us on the rides and enjoying fish and chips and doughnuts on Brighton Pier. We look forward to seeing you all again at KCL in December.
