Publication of Anatomy Papers for Children
Dr Catrin Rutland and colleagues recently received an Anatomical Society Public Engagement and Outreach Award to support an anatomical science communication and outreach project based at the University of Nottingham and titled 'Anatomy for ALL - Making Anatomy Accessible'
The first two anatomy papers for children arising from this project have now been published, while four more papers are in preparation. The papers concern the history and diversity of anatomy, bones and hearts.
'Can Toothache cause Heartbreak' was recently published in July 2020.
'Blood Vessels Under the Microscope’ was published in January 2020 and has achieved nearly 5,000 downloads in the first 6 months alone.
These papers can provide a valuable resource for homeschooling during these challenging times. Consequently, the authors have worked hard to rapidly produce these fun and educational scientific papers for young people.
