Introduction from Newly Elected President of the Anatomical Society - Professor Tracey Wilkinson,
Hello everyone!
I would like to introduce myself as the new President of the Society. My name is Tracey Wilkinson and I’ve just moved to the University of Birmingham in England to become their Sands Cox Chair of Anatomy after substantial stints in the other three home countries of the UK (Dundee, Scotland; Cardiff, Wales; Belfast, Northern Ireland). I’ve also worked in Cologne, Germany; Johannesburg, South Africa; Harare, Zimbabwe, and lived in Zambia, so I consider myself as rather an international citizen!
I’m delighted to be taking over the Presidency from Simon Parson, who has done an excellent job of leading our Society through some extremely trying times during the COVID pandemic. I very much look forward to working with you all and, I hope, meeting you in person in due course. I hope you’re all coming to Nottingham in April! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, or come and say hello during one of our conferences! I’d be delighted to meet you!
All the best,
Tracey
